The Reference Center for Artificial Intelligence (CEREIA), a Research Center based at Federal University of Ceará in Brazil, is offering a set of postdoctoral fellowships in Artificial Intelligence. Brazilian and foreign researchers who have obtained a doctoral degree less than 7 (seven) years ago, either in the country or abroad, with outstanding performance in a research area related to the scholarship activities, may apply.
The selected candidate in the Research Line “Intelligent Systems for Remote Patient Monitoring” (Ref. PDA1C2) will contribute to the development of a distributed systems architecture based on Cloud Computing and Edge Computing principles; development of Deep Learning methodologies for anomaly detection in signals and images; and integration of anomaly detection methodologies in signals/images into the distributed systems architecture developed using Federated Learning.
The position is a one-year contract funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). The fellowship may be extended for an additional year, depending on performance and availability of funds.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of BRL 9,047.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity. The implementation of the grant is subject to the approval of the selected candidate by FAPESP.
