The Analytical Chemist will be responsible for the analysis of Actives & Natural Origins team products that are developped by Clariant or insourced through external partners. The two main activities are the analysis of complex natural extracts from plants or other organisms and the analysis of oils, butters, waxes and essential oils. This professional will keep up-to-date with new developments in his field and eventually propose to implement them in the R&D department.

Verantwortlichkeiten

  • Ensure maintenance of analytical equipment in collaboration with suppliers;
  • Responsible for writing transfer (process and analytical) documents to adequate services;
  • Routine HPLC, GC and colorometric analyses of natural extract or oils, butter, waxes and essential oils;
  • Work in respect to Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2015;
  • Development of analytical methods for detection and quantification of specific molecules in products;
  • Perform bibliographic study to identify a suitable method for the analysis of a specific compound, a natural extract or a class of compounds, list known molecules in a natural extract.

Anforderungen

  • Minimum 5 years experience in industrial or academic environment with HPLC/UPLC equipment and GC coupled to mass spectroscopy;
  • Experienced in the field of phytochemistry and essential oils and GC-MS profiles is appreciated;
  • Graduation in Chemical with CRQ registration; post-graduate is appreciated;
  • Language fluency in English and Portuguese (interviews will be both);
  • Must be willing to work in Ananindeua-Pará with home office policy available.
